Returns

Christmas Returns Policy

Any item bought as a gift for Christmas, may be returned for a refund or exchange. We kindly ask that any item is returned to us by Friday 6th January 2012.


Standard Returns Policy

If you are not happy with any item, you are welcome to return it back to us for a full refund. We ask that you do so within 14 days from the day you receive it. We normally suggest that you allow around 2 weeks from when you post the item back to us for a refund to be confirmed - to enable the parcel to reach us via the 2nd class free returns service, and then we ask for up to 7 working days for us to process it. Once processed, so long as there was a valid e mail address confirmed when your order was placed, you will be sent a 'confirmation of refund' e mail confirming the amount credited back on your card.

Should you prefer to have an exchange, we will be very happy to do this for you. Simply complete the enclosed form with your order and state which replacement size you would like. Despatch of exchanged items are free of charge in the UK, for Europe there is a flat charge of £5.00 and outside Europe £10.00.

 

Returns from within the UK

Within the delivery parcel, there will be a returns form and free returns label, addressed to Petite Affair (excluding orders that only contain sale items - please see below). If you wish to return any items you may re-use the delivery parcel for your returns provided it is in a reasonable condition to do so. Then place the returns label clearly on the outside of the returns box, and take it to your nearest post office. When returning, we recommend you obtain a free certificate of posting, as should your parcel be lost in transit, you will need to provide this to confirm your return and eligibility for a refund. Upon receipt of your returned goods, we will arrange to credit your original payment method, along with an E Mail confirming the credit to your card.

We are happy to enclose one returns label for each order you place - should you need to return more than one parcel of items, we ask that you do so at your own cost.

Returning Sale Items

Please note we are not able to offer a free returns service for sale items, as we will have already passed on considerable savings by discounting the items you are ordering. If you place an order for non sale items only, then we will happily send you a free returns label. 

If your order contains a mixture of sale and non sale items, then we will exercise discretion depending on the items in your order. If you receive a non sale item, without a free returns label and you wish to return it, then please call or e mail us and we can arrange to send a free returns label to you.

 

Returns from outside the UK.

If you wish to return any items you may re-use the delivery parcel as a returns parcel provided it is in a reasonable condition to do so, ensuring it is securely wrapped and sealed, enclosing the completed returns form. Clearly label the returns box with the returns address shown on the returns form and take it to your preferred carrier for posting. We ask that any returns are sent to us at your own expense. When returning, we recommend you obtain proof of posting, as should your parcel be lost in transit, you will need to provide proof of posting to confirm your return and eligibility for a refund. Upon receipt of your returned goods, we will arrange to credit your original payment method.

 

Condition of returned goods

We ask that all items returned are neatly folded and packaged so when they are received by us, they are in a resellable state. If, when an item is received back, it not in a sellable state, due to damage to the garment, this will be returned back to you, without a refund. If an item is received unfolded, and therefore very creased and at that time 'unsellable', we will arrange for that item to be pressed and presented for re-sale. Please note that we reserve the right to deduct your refund by up to £5.00 for every item we have needed to spend extra time on pressing to make it saleable. This will only be applied in exceptional circumstances where it is clear that the item had not been folded when returned and a reasonable level of care taken.
